Semester Exams
Guidelines for Semester Exams
- The length of each examination period is one hundred
minutes. A written evaluation (objective or essay) must be part of
the examination, but evaluation may also incorporate projects, or oral
presentations, skills tests, or similar assignments during the exam
period. An eventual exam might include work produced during a more
extended time.
- The examination must be comprehensive,
i.e., it must cover the entire semester's work to date. Remember
that "passing ac
comprehensive final examination" is now part of the attendance policy
as a way of awarding credit for demonstrating "mastery" of the student
performance standards."
- The results of the total exam period should count no
more than 20% of the student's semester grade. It can count less.
- Every student must take an examination.
- Exams should no be administered early. Any exam
needed to be made up should be made up after the holidays during the
week before the semester ends.
