FCAT
Florida Comprehensinve Achievement Test

The FCAT is used to determine whether students are learning the Sunshine State Standards. The questions on the test are written for each grade level to determine whether students mastered the standards in reading, math, writing and now science. The 10 th grade FCAT scores in Reading and Math are used as part of the graduation requirements.

Students in 9 th and 10 th grade are given the Reading and Math sections in the spring. The 10 th grade also takes the Writing test in the spring while the 11 th grade takes the Science portion.
