As Eastside High School students, IB program members take advantage of a wide range of extra curricular opportunities. IB students participate in every interscholastic sports program: baseball, basketball, cheerleading, crew, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and weightlifting. Eastside sports programs pride themselves on gender equity and strong records of achievement.

Other extracurricular activities include the arts, such as marching in the Mighty Ram Band or singing in the outstanding chorus program. The jazz band is a perennial favorite. Many students are members of the Alachua County Youth orchestra. The studio art program exhibits the year’s productions at an annual art show each May. Eastside’s drama program is truly second to none, and many students opt to participate in community theatre projects as well. The Hippodrome and Acrosstown Repertory Theatres benefit from their Eastside connection.

Publications programs produce the Rampage—the school newspaper, the yearbook, and Aries—the literary magazine. Eastside’s many co-curricular and extra-curricular clubs provide countless opportunities for social interaction, active leadership roles, and school and community service contributions.
